Tenancy Referral and Application Form

All referrals will be reviewed by the HTL Service Manager and will be responded to within two working days. There is no right of appeal unless the applicant or referring agency can provide new information which would change the applicant’s ability to sustain a tenancy independently.

Once reviewed, selected applicants will be invited to view the property and a decision will be made regarding a tenancy offer after these viewings.

Please complete this form as thoroughly as possible at the point of referral, as the information provided will be utilised to offer a viewing and a subsequent tenancy. Home Turf Lettings reserves the right to withdraw a tenancy offer if the Referral and Application Form is not fully completed at referral and new information emerges which would have prevented Home Turf Lettings from offering a viewing and/or tenancy.

Following a tenancy offer, we will require the following documentation

If you receive Housing Benefit or Universal Credit we will need to see your most recent entitlement letter. We will also need to see proof of other benefits that you currently receive.
Expenditure
Please include all expenditure you expect for your household when living in this property per month. If you budget by week, you should multiply your weekly expenditure by 52 and divide by 12.

In the case of things like clothing, holidays, car repairs etc you should estimate how much you spend on these things normally each year and then divide this figure by 12 to get the monthly cost.

Debts
Please include all expenditure you expect for your household when living in this property. Please calculate the monthly cost. If you budget by week, you should multiply your weekly expenditure by 52 and divide by 12. This will give you the calendar monthly cost that we need. We have already completed the boxes for the estimated monthly rent and bills costs for the property you are applying for. Please list all debts that anyone moving with you currently owes. Don’t forget to include the total amount you currently spend on repaying debts in your expenditure section. If a repayment plan for debts is not already in place we will expect this to be arranged before being able to offer you a tenancy.
